Lighthouse Works and Island Concerts are proud to present an intimate evening of American song with celebrated soprano Susanna Phillips. Moving between classical favorites and jazz standards, the program will feature works by Samuel Barber, Stephen Foster, Charles Ives, Cy Coleman, George Gershwin, and others.

Bio
Soprano Susanna Phillips is one of today’s most celebrated and versatile vocal artists. She has appeared in leading roles at many of the world’s premier opera companies, including the Metropolitan Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Gran Teatre del Liceu, and Opéra National de Bordeaux. A passionate interpreter of orchestral repertoire, she regularly performs with major ensembles such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, New York Philharmonic, and St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.
Beyond the concert hall and opera stage, Susanna is a devoted recitalist and chamber musician, appearing at festivals around the world and championing new works through commissions and premieres. She is also an accomplished jazz vocalist who frequently performs with guitarist Steve Salerno. Together, they bring fresh energy to beloved classics from the Great American Songbook while also exploring lesser-known gems of the genre.
